Endanger Tsangla in Pemakoe, Tibet

By Tim Dodt

Hey just came across a few vids in Youtube. It seems that after practically every region of Tibet has its production of regional karaoke VCDs (Amdo and Kham, Dechen county have been particularly prolific), with Chinese tunes, Chinese or Tibetan subtitles for karaoke and Chinese or Tibetan lyrics, they have now started to tap the Pemakot market. See how just like with Tibetan (I have big problem in following the news or series at XZTV) Pemakot Tshangla is now also sinified- with a two- tone contrast and pitch accents similar to Chinese and clearly Tshangla is being written in Chinese characters and then read. It is high time that exiled Pemakotpa community develop Tshangla as written language in either Ucen or Roman script otherwise Pemakotpa language will complete change.... Check the lyrics, something like "jaga semga, ama minchowala" with notice it is in 'Monke' hehe. And ofcourse pictures of happiness and bliss. Why did you people ever leave???

Tim la Thank you,we pemakoepa need like you people who always keeping us in your core of heart and giving us needful information which is very difficult to get from inside Pemakoe Tibet. Choe kha sum tibetan people coming from Tibet sinec 1982 to india but so far no new pemakoepa from Tibet is arrived in India.we really don't understand why it is so even world people are talking about Motuo and Yalung Tsangpo not Metok wangjo, and Tsang Chu in pemakoe.
