Sonam Choephel Shastri la, welcome to our forum. We have Khenpo Tsering Dorjee la doing excellent Job in reviving all the sacred place in Indian side of Pemako. He need help in every way an individual can do like being a teacher for student, being a doctor for village , etc. What we all need is Unity among people of Pemako no matter where we are or what side of the political geographic boundaries we are in. In Tuting side we have classification called Khampa Tribe, Memba Tribe and refugee or (in our language Manba and Singma). This division was created by benevolent Govt India in their benevolent act of occupying the land and people that belong to Tibet . We too get carried away with these division of our family . For example within my extended family - now I have Indian Pemako relative, refugee Pemako relative ( including me ) and Chinese Pemako relative, no matter what they call us - We are Tibetan by blood, bone and culture. Pemakopa or Tsanglha or Khampa or Memba or refugee in Tuting area may be now Number around 30- 40 thousand head. Division has created alot of challenges for development to our People - For example I know couple of cases where Pemakopa from Tuting area sit for state civil service Exam other khampa or Memba tribe ruin it .The result was loss for the community as a whole . Because of division among Pemako people who are considered as Tribe of AP has less representation in every level of Govt AP. The result is less funding for the community, road and other project and over all lost to all of us. I ( as a refugee Pemako) have spoken and reasoned with people who have ruin the future of other people. But I do not know how effective it was. We are number around 140 - 180 thousand head spread over India, Bhutan and Tibet base on Christian missionary. Unity or DoktsaChikdrel is important.
